Plants Around Me

 January 21, 2023
As part of me being out taking a ton of pictures, I came across multiple flowers, but this one was special because of the bright pink color it had amongst the green surroundings.
I decided to take a picture of one of the plants on my own balcony. The sky was more blue than usual and the colors green and blue made sense of me. WIth manipulations of angles and cropping while editing the photo, I came up with this dreamy photograph.
I was looking around the street of my home and then decided to look up just in case I was lucky, and I sure was. There was this plant poking out of the balcony of this abandoned building, and so I decided to take a photograph of it and this was the result.
While I was out and about looking around my area to see plants to take a photograph of, I took a lot of photos of a lot of plants, but this composition was so special because I was able to separate the foreground, subject and background even though they’re all green.

This was the very first project I had in my Photography course and it was also one of the first times I had ever held the camera. The project had one simple goal: take photos of the plants around you.

So my cousin and I went around to see the plants around us so I could take pictures of them. These were my 4 favourite photos of the project.
