ABODE

ABODE /əˈbəʊd/

“Abode refers to a place where a person lives, such as a home, residence, or dwelling. It is a noun commonly used to describe one’s house, habitation, or, in some contexts, a temporary stay (sojourn).”

Life lately, especially the past 2 years, have passed so fast yet so slow. In a constant state where I almost feel at my abode, to then feeling sojourned.

I’m okay, incase you’re wondering. I’ve just thought so much about belonging and what it actually means, and I’ve realized that for the most part, I feel sojourn, everything feels so… temporary.

I mean at the end of the day, we all die, so our life is temporary anyway, and I’m okay with that.

Since my last photography project, I’ve went through 2 wars, and It’s these wars that have made me realize how lucky I am to be alive, safe, and even get to a point where I’d complain about a stale tomato in my sandwich, when there are starving kids right now thinking wether they will eat today or not.

I’ve learned so much about life the past 2 years, in all aspects. And I will learn so much more as I grow up.

These photos where taken in 2026, all of them with my Tecno Spark Slim edited on Lightroom using said phone with this new grainy style that I fell in love with.

These photos, especially the new style, the locations, are the closest that I’ll get to abode with myself.
